Boat Trip - just because its a little different.....

“Mum I want to go home now – I have had enough of holidays” Why Jess??? “Because I am sick and tired of having to put on sunscreen twice a day”
Ellie came over and swam some laps with me this morning before coming back and having breakfast. Such a nice way to start a day. What to do today besides the beach or pool????So we decided to do something a bit different this morning and go for a ferry ride. We had to walk around to the far end of Bulcocks beach to catch the boat but made it with 10 minutes to spare. The kids were dripping with sweat by the time we got there but the little darlings surprised us at how fast they walked to get there in time. The boat took us around the far end of Bribie Island and the Pumicestone Passage Marine Park and through Pelican Waters to see some of the luxury homes. There was an amazing amount of different bird life to be seen and the kids enjoyed sitting up on the top deck - better still having it all to ourselves.

The rest of the day was spent as previous – pool, beach, pool. Such is life but always enjoyable. We are really enjoying going back over to the beach later on each day – the tide is usually right out and the girls are just loving the surf at the moment. Hopefully that will remain the case for the rest of the holiday as both David and I much prefer the beach to the pool. Later we walked back down to Bulcocks beach AGAIN (little girls legs were growing a bit weary) but the thought of fish and chips on the foreshore kept them moving. We ate them with the pelicans and watched the sun go down before walking back to our unit again. With all the walking the kids have done today it didn’t take them to long to go off to sleep.
