CHA Releases - Available Now SECRET ADMIRER

Now this is a little bit of a blast from the past - even though its only last months release but we will be showing it IRL at CHA as it hasn't been shown there before, and really as a December release, its still relatively current.  I thought with Valentines Day just around the corner I would show you a couple of things i have done with this that are on show at the CHA.  I especially love the two sihframes which i know my girls are already putting dibs on to who gets what.
See full collection and project to be downloaded HERE.

Now this product below is our new Hanging Heart - BEyond the Page Product.
There are many different things you could do with this frame which we can show you in upcoming projects but this is one that i did up in this Secret Admirer Collection.

What I love about this paper is the gorgeous textures in the background.  I love playing with mixed media
but for those of you who don't know where to start this range has got some great examples as background that
will inspire you to get our your paints and bubble wrap and attempt one yourself.
Below is one of our new paling wall arts.  As you can see i used some of the BASECOAT paper shown yesterday.  Perfect for this type of paper and combined it with Secret Admirer for something a little different.
And one of my favourite Beyond the Page Projects - Our new Storage Cupboard.  Seems like i have misplaced the picture of the cupboard closed from the front but it is on the insructions that you can download here.

CHA Update

Finally settling and back to everyday reality after another fantastic time away at CHA. Not sure how many make and takes were done but am thinking it was around the 500 mark - give or take a few. As always, totally loved catching up with familiar faces and then meeting lots of new people. The mini books we did turned out to be hit and they loved the new Kaisercraft bookshelf that stored them in. Here are a few photos to share with you - I would love to show you them all but took nearly 1000 (as you do - couldn't help but play with the new camera). If you are on facebook as many of you are - the other trip photos have been uploaded to my albums.

Got to meet up with and go out for tea with the gorgeous girls whom I am joining to take part in a circle journal for the next 12 months. . Feel free to keep track of what we are up to by checking out our blog. We are calling ourselves the Lucky 13. Each month we are sending photosof ourselves to the next person on the list and they are going to scrap them up for us. When we meet up with each other at CHA 2010 (gosh imagine thinking of this already), we will present each other with the pages and we will have a ready made album of ourselves created by these talented girls. One other twist - have just found out that the whole album is going to be created on canvas pages.....ohhhh ahhhhhh this is something I haven't done before. They are all such awesome designers, I hope I do it justice.
So for the first month I am sending photos to Jennifer. Then to Candice and so on.
Am thinking this is going to be a challenge and heaps of fun at the same time.
The day after the show Elena from Scrapbook Royalty gave up a day and took us ALL around Disneyland. I tell you what, we would never have seen as much as we did without here. It was so much fun having the whole team together (minus Mick who was taking classes).

Thank you so much Elena for sacrificing a couple of days to show us around Disneyland and taking us outlet shopping. Yes we did a little shopping. I even got told off by hubby for stripping the bank accounts ...lol... I didn't really hink I spent that much - the girls are certainly excited with their new shoes and I again have come home with a couple more pairs of jean. A girl has to do what a girl has to do. As the saying goes"
Its easier to ask forgiveness that seek permission" haha

CHA Update

We are here in Anaheim after probably the best flight I have ever ever had in my life.
We came over on the A380 - dirty big aeroplane - actually only one week old. This was its 9th flight. Anyway we were in the back section - hmmm maybe this is saying something - keeping us out of the way. Who knows but we had at LEAST three seats each and it was great. Able to lie down and sleep majority of the way - unreal. Mind you the three of us girls all watched Road to Rodanthe and all bawled our eyes out at the end....
Another totally cool feature was sky cam. we could watch ourselves take off and land etc. It was like being on a ride - watching it on the TV screen but feeling it at the same time. What a hoot .
We had a lovel dinner at Outback Steakhouse tonight, followed by a couple of hours in the spa - having some really great insightful chats with the team..... yes two hours and yes we were prunes at the end of it....
All ready to get the stand set up in the morning - its all starting to feel real again. CHA here we come again.
If any of you are over here in Anaheim make sure you drop by the Kaisercraft stand (see the Kings of Bling) and check out the oversized products we scrapped up for display - they are awesome even if I do say so myself. Come and do the make and take (naturally talk to the team and put an order in) but pleeeaaaase come by and say hi to me.

Stay tuned for more updates.

PS I hope you are all keep up with the photo per day.
I will upload a few tomorrow.

Masters - 2nd Challenge FRANCHVILLE

Whilst at CHA I got to meet a fellow Master. Maxine Hazebroek and she is gorgeous. This lovely lady would you believe was working on the Helmar stand right behind me. What a co-incidence so it was great to catch up. To be chosen alongside Maxine is quite an honor when you see all the wonderful creations she has done. I still pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming this whole year up.... Boy do I look tired in this photo. Anyway this is Maxine...
William Arthur Ward quotes “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.”
Trust me when I say peoples, if you can dream it, you can do it..... Never before in my life do I believe that more than this year. So many times whilst I was away it felt like deja vue.... A
Anyway its back to reality now and there is lots and lots of work to do.... but before I go this is the latest layout published as part of our Masters challenge which you probably have all seen by now in the latest Scrapbooking Memories magazine. We received some little material embellishments each (I got a little dress and the letters spelling G.I.R.L) and asked to design a layout. Had lots of fun with this getting to play with photoshop and change Caitlin's dress to match the color of the embellishement.

CHA Wrap Up

Finally I am starting to come back down to earth. Sorry to you all who thought I would be able to keep up to date with this blog. Well it just didn't happen. We were all totally stuffed at the end of each day and the thought of then getting on the computer wasn't a good one....

Anyway the results for us at Kaisercraft were totally overwhelming but really none of it wouldn't have happened without the whole team back home. From the Design team (and naturally have to admit they are a great bunch....lol...) to Richelle who sources and gets us all our other bits and pieces, to all in sales and all the crew out in the factory... and can't forget Tim and Steve who manage to pull us all together - everyone has done as awesome effort... and I guess the results have just proved that.... We were just the lucky ones who were over there and saw the results first hand. Trust me though it was a fantastic experience and even though we were run off our feet and exhausted i'd do it again tomorrow...

Anyway I just want to thank everyone for all the lovely comments regarding the make and takes - all you ladies I met were so gorgeous. To think you thought our Make and Takes were one of the best of the show - what a compliment- maybe that may have been a bit of an exageration but I had so much fun doing them and meeting all you lovely peoples. I took so many photos so naturally I can't put you all up here but it was great to see how you all managed to do something different.

Anyway this group of ladies especially touched my heart. I met Elena last year at CHA and it was so nice to hear and see a familiar face again... Not that these ladies were better than anyone else but they just for what they do, they are girls after my own heart and also run Crops for Causes but on a much larger scale to the ones I do here at home.
Check out Scrapbook Royalty and what these angels in disguise are up to.... Go to Elena's blog also and see she is about to be rewarded on TV soon - you so deserve it girl..... Well done...Imagine if there were more people in the world like these girls....

There were so many other photos I'd love to include but this could go on all night so just for all you o/seas peoples who may be reading up on us - here is a little of what the women wanted. THE BOYZ FROM DOWN UNDER....

Day 2 of CHA

O My goodness.... what a day. If i thought yesterday was busy I really didn't see today coming. Today was INSANE. Tripled yesterday. Though I didn't do as many individual Make and Takes (only 90+ lost count), the ones I had seemed to go a bit longer girls I had queues , actual real life people lining themselves UP for my make and take.... man i thought it was insane.... my legs thought told me I WAS insane and now i feel insane. I am so tired but it was such a hoot. so total stands at around 220 M&T's.
Anway very hard to wipe the smiles of any of our faces at present - though we are all walking zombies - it is an exciting place to be. Not too many people will be saying who the hell is Kaisercraft. They have been saying where have we been hiding.
Anyway its all good - and can only get better So roll on day 3
and yes David if you are reading like I said HIRE A HOUSEKEEPER, I miss you and the girls heaps and heaps but this is so much fun

Day 1 of CHA

Well this is going to be quick because I really want to go to bed as I am tired. Today from Kaiser's point of view was totally awesome. We totally smashed last years show in one day - they love us here. It is such a differnt feel and vibe to last year. We really have made it and don't just feel like we are scratching to get into the market we are in it and have some big gunns "worried". We had BG bosses around a number of times still trying to work out how we are doing what we are doing and they LOVE our surfaces (wood BTP)

“Originality is NOT doing something no one else has done, but doing what has been done countless times with new life, new breath” - I guess that mean if i see an idea and can improve it we can do it... Well hope Tom isnt too busy at work cause i have a few ideas.

A number of you know I am doing the make and takes (that is where people sit down to create something - in short basically a mini workshop) We i was on my feet from 1/4 to 8 this morning, had a cup of coffee for a break but didn't get to finish it until 1/4 to 6 when the last people left my table. The doors closed for the public at 5.30 but I still had them cuing up. 129 people. Did you get that guys. That was such an experience. Not sure if we will top that tomorrow (and in some small way not sure if I want too - only becuase of how exhausted i was at the end of the day ) but it was very very very very exciting to get to speak to all those ladies....lol.... they thought I had an accent...hmmm very funny....they did and I told them that. Anway its fantastic and i would love to send photos but I don't have the cable for my camera so will have to wait unless I can borrow one. All in all a fantastic day. I even had a number of girls saying how they thought our make and take was one of the best here at the show. Now Im not sure if I can believe that taking into account the past show I was at but so far I haven't seen to much other stuff better so wouldn't that be a hoot if it was true.
Maxine Hazelbroek found us and introduced herself to me this morning, can't believe that we have stands next to each other, unbelievable how things work out. So we are going out for dinner tomorrow night with each other and the crew from Scrapbooking memories and of course all the guys from work. It should prove to be a fun night and relaxing night where we can be ourselves with fellow aussies.
Miss David and the girls but its great now we have spoken to each other and sorted this email account thingy out that just wasn;t happening for us for the first couple of days.
So if you are ready this David, I do love you and miss you but also I am loving this too. Its hard to want to be in two places at once. I even really miss the rest of the guys at work and can't wait to get back also.

HOpe all you guys are well and if you want to send any messages I have a gmail account now whilst here melken777@gmail.com love to chat if you wish.

Take care, have fun and happy scrapping
love
Lissy

CHA Update

Well everyone I am here with the team.. I would love to report that setting up was easy but it wasn't. It was slow and believe it or not...hot. It is winter here but still 20+ degrees so again not brought apprpriate clothing. Oh well not to worry.
All redeemed itself by getting to chat to the owners of Basic Grey, Rachael and Greg- it is so nice to see how friendly and down to earth these guys are, they truly are such a talented goodlooking hubby and wife team. And success certainly hasn't gone to their heads either. Its amazing really when talking to them - we think they BG are so huge and so made it and yet she is always looking at how they can be better and don't feel they have much of a presence down here is OZ, i thought are you for real.... you guys have got it but she keep looking and questioning us about Kaiser and what we are up to.... hmmmm I thinks we are going to surprise a few people over here. We are so looking forward to this show, roll on tomorrow we are sick of setting up and just want to get into it.
Get to meet some designers tomorrow mornign who are guaranteed (well supposedly) of being published in US so we can get some of our products exposed that way. That should be fun. Can't believe the opportunities I have got at the moment at work - truly am blessed and loving work. Its is so much fun, and I get to work with some of the best people, one of my best friends and having a ball...what more can you want... maybe just a housekeeper now so I don't get into too much trouble with my darling hubby. I hope he has got it all under control at home whilst I am here. Trust me peoples that boy is good. I so miss him and the girls.
Well better go and get some shut eye before tomorrow morning. It all getting exciting now and hope these make and takes go well and all the US stores love us and give us all their money.
Love
Lissy
