CHA - "Celebrities" and moiye...

If you are into scrapbooking you will totally understand the next bit of my story - otherwise you will just think of me as a total fruit loop or nutter. OR if you know me well you will probably think of me as a fruitloop anyway...
I still remember my first CHA show when I first met Heidi Swapp - my poor heart did a backflip and I can still see the guys I was with rolling their eyes and shaking their heads. and yep Tim calling me a muppet... (that's OK, used to that now...)
If you have ever been to a CHA show you will totally understand what I mean when I say its like a kid in a lolly shop, especially for a little scrapbooker from Oz - and then you see the "celebrities".... Well in the eyes of an Aussie that is what they are. Yep I know they are no different to you and me but these guys are BIG in the scrapping world. You see you guys in the States are a bit spoilt as you get to see these guys/and girls all the time as they tour around, so stop laughing at me, us guys in Oz have to settle for blog stalking and reading their books...
So you can understand a girl getting excited when they get a chance to meet them IRL.

Yep its Tim Holtz, Heidi Swapp, Ali Edwards and Lance Anderson (Rusty Pickle)
This year was no exception to my excitement BUT (this is a HUGE BUT...OK - this year I met the one person who I think is the total best yet.... Come on have you worked out which one it was yet. I love this girl - she is someone who doesn't fail to inspire me everytime I read something by her. Her last book "Life Artist" has been read back to front - whoops should I say front to back, a number of times and has given me the confidence to be the scrapper I am - as she says "At the end of the day the only person you have to impress is yourself" Its all about being real and being myself and yes ALI EDWARDS has encouraged me through her books that its OK to be ME....

Can you hear me screaming ........yeeessssss I met the girl and she looks just like I imagined her to look. OMG all my dreams came true. Sunday afternoon whilst doing my make and take, Mick called me and I turned around and there she was behind me and I screamed then cried (she thought that was cute!!!!) and then she signed her NEW BOOK for me as a gift.(Melissa, Capture Life, Ali Edwards)- this book will be treasured for a long long time Notice the massive bear hug I gave the poor girl after she gave me the book - thanks Fi for being so close by with a camera..... I even had a little pressie for her (just in case she visited)...and Ali if you are reading this - it was an honor to meet you and I hope you don't think I am too crazy......In the scrapbooking world - you truly are an inspiration.
Yep you can imagine it took awhile to settle down after this one...
And here is a coincidence I only have noticed this just now... Her new book is called Sharing Your Story and its about Celebrating the Everday Details of Your Life and in the new Kaisercraft workshop magazine that is about to be released my little blurb was about just that....Everyday moments.... hows that for coincidental - Maybe she is rubbing off on me after all - well that can't be anything but a good thing....

You are probably wondering by now why moiye??.... well thanks to Mick, he told Coco Daisy's owners, that is Ali's LSS of this crazy woman here in Oz that totally loves her and would LUrrRVE to meet her. She said she would drop by the stand with a pressie. BTW Ali is doing a kit or class using our Kaisercraft paint .... so wipe away now any doubts any of you have with Kaisercolor - if Ali Edwards likes it - it can't be too bad.... so buy up peoples....
Goes to show - you don't get if you don't ask .... and dreams do come true...
